HP JBT syllabus, topic-wise

The post-wise syllabus is published in the HPRCA notification. These are the areas asked most often:

Child Development & Pedagogy

Growth and development, learning theories, motivation, intelligence
Inclusive education, learning difficulties, assessment and evaluation
Teaching methods, classroom management, NEP 2020 basics

Languages

Hindi: grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, teaching of Hindi
English: grammar, usage, comprehension, teaching of English

Mathematics (primary level)

Number system, the four operations, fractions, decimals, percentage
Geometry basics, measurement, data handling, mental maths

Environmental Studies

Family and friends, food, shelter, water, travel, plants and animals
Basic science and social awareness at primary level

General awareness

Himachal Pradesh GK and current affairs
General knowledge and reasoning

How to cover the HP JBT syllabus

The HP JBT syllabus has 5 main areas: Child Development & Pedagogy, Languages, Mathematics (primary level), Environmental Studies, General awareness. Finish the area that carries the most marks first, then revise the others in rotation, and take a timed mock test every week to see which topics still cost you marks.
