HP PGT Mock Test 2026

PGT (Post Graduate Teacher), called Lecturer (School New) in Himachal Pradesh, teaches classes 11 and 12 in government senior secondary schools. Posts are notified subject-wise (English, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Political Science, Economics, Commerce and others), and recruitment in recent cycles has been done through the state recruiting commission, now the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur. Candidates generally need a master's degree in the subject with the prescribed marks and a B.Ed; the notification gives the exact eligibility, age limit and stages.

Selection is usually through a computer-based screening test on the subject and general awareness, followed by document verification and any further stage the notification lays down. The official section split is not published, so our mocks use 100 questions in four parts: pedagogy and teaching aptitude, Himachal GK and general studies, and two sections of the subject at post-graduate level.

PGT paper me subject ka hissa sabse bada hota hai, aur level master's degree ka hota hai, sirf school ka nahi. English me grammar ke saath literature (Chaucer se postcolonial tak) aur ELT methods aate hain; Mathematics me abstract algebra, real analysis, calculus, differential equations, coordinate geometry aur statistics.

How to prepare: revise your post-graduate syllabus topic by topic, keep short notes of Himachal GK and pedagogy, and take full mocks against the clock. Start with the free HP PGT English mock or the HP PGT Mathematics mock.
