HP Pharmacist syllabus, topic-wise
The exact syllabus is given in the HPRCA notification. Usual areas:
Pharmacy subjects
- Pharmaceutics: dosage forms, unit operations, packaging, biopharmaceutics
- Pharmaceutical chemistry: organic, inorganic and medicinal chemistry, analysis
- Pharmacology: drug classes, mechanism, uses, side effects, toxicology
- Pharmacognosy: crude drugs, phytochemistry
- Hospital and clinical pharmacy, dispensing, pharmacy practice
- Pharmacy Act, Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules, NDPS Act
General awareness
- Himachal Pradesh GK and current affairs
- General knowledge, reasoning and English

How to cover the HP Pharmacist syllabus
The HP Pharmacist syllabus has 2 main areas: Pharmacy subjects, General awareness. Finish the area that carries the most marks first, then revise the others in rotation, and take a timed mock test every week to see which topics still cost you marks.
