HP Radiographer syllabus, topic-wise
The detailed syllabus is in the HPRCA notification. Usual areas for Radiographer:
Technical subjects
- Radiographic techniques and positioning for skull, spine, chest, abdomen and extremities
- Anatomy and physiology relevant to imaging
- Radiation physics: X-ray production, interaction with matter, units and dose
- Radiation protection and safety: ALARA, shielding, dosimeters
- Imaging equipment: X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, ultrasound and mammography
- Film processing, digital radiography and PACS
- Contrast media, patient care and emergencies in the radiology department
General awareness
- Himachal Pradesh GK and current affairs
- General knowledge, reasoning and English

How to cover the HP Radiographer syllabus
The HP Radiographer syllabus has 2 main areas: Technical subjects, General awareness. Finish the area that carries the most marks first, then revise the others in rotation, and take a timed mock test every week to see which topics still cost you marks.
